We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to fill a position of a Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Medicine within the Hospital for Small Animals.

  • Full time, 35 hours/week

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join seven senior clinicians on our medicine team, and share supervision of our medicine services within our well-equipped teaching hospital. Our Small Animal Medicine service is in an exciting period of development and we are looking for an applicant who will be keen to contribute ideas and to play a major role in the implementation of state of the art diagnostic and therapeutic approaches as we move forward.

Candidate Requirements

You must hold a degree in Veterinary Medicine and, at the time of appointment, be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. The postholder should have an ECVIM or ACVIM diploma. You will also have experience in teaching and clinical research in a veterinary school. Appointment is conditional on the University receiving a satisfactory Standard Disclosure check.

Summary of your skills and attributes for success:

  • MRCVS-registered or eligible to work in the UK
  • An ACVIM or ECVIM-CA Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine
  • Experience of teaching undergraduate and post-graduate students in a Veterinary School
  • Research experience to allow contribution to R(D)SVS research goals
